Orthokeratology treatment program

In this program, specially designed contact lenses are employed to alter the shape of the cornea so as to temporarily reduce shortsightedness. The whole program typically lasts three to six months. Although orthokeratology is not a new concept, recent developments in lens material and design have enabled the reduction of greater amounts of shortsightedness than before. This is the only viable method to reduce shortsightedness in children.

With professional management and good compliance, orthokeratology is safe and reliable. We have been performing orthokeratology since 1997 with good results. After treatment, most patients enjoy clear vision throughout the day without spectacles. In addition, the progression of shortsightedness has slowed or even stopped in many young patients.
